He received his Ph.D. in 2004 from the \u00c9cole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure de Lyon, France, under the supervision of Prof. L. Emsley, before spending four years as a postdoctoral researcher with Pr. R.G. Griffin at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. He returned to France in 2008 with a \u201cChaire d\u2019Excellence\u201d from the French National Research Agency (ANR) and an Intra-European Marie Curie Fellowship to set up high-field MAS-DNP at the CEA Grenoble. He focuses on method and technology development for MAS-DNP for applications from material science to bio-inspired chemistry. In 2013 he was the recipient of the Regitze R. She received a Ph.D. in physical chemistry in 1997 from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) under the supervision of Profs. R.R. Ernst and B.H. Meier, followed by a position as a research scientist at Nestl\u00e9 Research Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland. In 1999 she obtained a research position at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in France, first at the \u00c9cole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure de Lyon in the laboratory of Pr. L. He received his PhD under Prof. P. K. Madhu in 2012 from TIFR, India. He did his first postdoctoral research under Prof. C. Jaroniec at OSU, US and second under Dr Ga\u00ebl De Pa\u00ebpe at CEA, France. In 2015 he started working as the research facility manager for the first commercial DNP facility in the UK, based in the University of Nottingham. He moved to CEA, Grenoble as permanent researcher in 2021. His expertise is methodology development in DNP and NMR and trying to justify things with Floquet Theory and Lindbladians. He adores anything to do with separating protons from themselves or others. Ardent supporter of Lionel Messi, Sachin Tendulkar, and Roger Federer. Any opinion against the three is not acceptable. He loves to haul photography equipment up the mountains on weekends, and read anything by Elif Shafak, Haruki Murakami, and George Orwell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-social-links characterization of nanomaterials using ultra-high field solid-state NMR (ssNMR) and DNP. She is jointly supervised by Dr. Ga\u00ebl De Pa\u00ebpe (CEA \/ Univ. Grenoble Alpes) and Dr. Olivier Lafon (Univ. Lille\/CNRS). She completed her Ph.D. with Dr. David Bryce at the University of Ottawa, Canada while working extensively on crystal-engineering noncovalent interaction based novel cocrystal and used ssNMR to probe them. She acquired her Master\u2019s in Chemistry from Pondicherry University, India under Dr. M.M. Balakrishnarajan\u2019s supervision and finished her Master\u2019s thesis on computational chemistry where she studied topological insulators using DFT methodologies. Beside \u201cScience\u201c-ing and \u201cgeek\u201d-ing along with the ideas of Feynman, Bose and deGrasse Tyson, Tamali loves grooving on Indian classical kathaak music, EDM, classic English rock, Reggaet\u00f3n and Afrobeats! Only thing that keeps her from zoning out is good ol\u2019 Charlotte Bronte, Sidney Sheldon J.K. Rowling, Emily Dickinson and Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay writings. His research focuses on uncovering the atomic-scale mysteries of solid-state batteries using advanced solid-state NMR and DNP,  pushing non-destructive characterization into new territory for future battery technologies. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Alberta, Canada, under the supervision of Prof. Vladimir K. Michaelis, where he investigated atomic-level structure and dynamics of emerging energy materials for optoelectronic and battery applications \u2013 ranging from metal halide perovskites to sodium-ion conducting oxides \u2013 using multidimensional and multinuclear NMR methods supported by advanced hardware and DFT calculations. His work also included contributions to radical development for high-field DNP. A Ph.D. secondment at the Technische Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnchen (TUM), Germany, with Prof. Tom Nilges further broadened his expertise, providing hands-on experience in inorganic materials synthesis and characterization. Born and raised in West Bengal, India, he earned his B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. in Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, where his master\u2019s thesis focused on EPR spectroscopy on graphene-based nanocomposites. He had several internships experience in the field of NMR, working notably with Pr. Sami Jannin in Lyon, Pr. Ashok Ajoy in UC Berkeley and Dr. Ga\u00ebl De Pa\u00ebpe, in Grenoble. He is currently doing his PhD at IRIG-MEM-CEA under the supervision of Ga\u00ebl De Pa\u00ebpe, working on NMR methodology for low-temperature MAS-DNP. Outside of the lab, he loves outside activities such as climbing, mountaineering, and to play music. He claims to be a french climber, alpinist and spectroscopist who\u2019s notably famous for his uncommon but nonetheless delicious recipe of the bolognese lasagna. She has several internship experiences in the field of Bio-NMR, such as studying atomic level interaction between viral RNA and capsid protein of denugue virus with liquid-state NMR in the group of Dr. Anja Bockmann in Lyon in 2022. During her six-month-long internship in 2023, she worked on the development of DNP-NMR methodology for protein investigation in its cellular environment with Dr. Sabine Hediger and Dr.Aur\u00e9lien Deniaud. She is currently doing her PhD at IRIG-MEM-CEA, under the supervision of Dr. Sabine Hediger and Dr. Rime Kerfah. She is working on combining selective DNP-NMR and site-specific labeling to study active sites of large biomolecular assemblies. He is conducting his Master\u2019s thesis project at CEA Grenoble, France, under the supervision of Dr. Ga\u00ebl De Pa\u00ebpe, working on the elucidation of perovskite nanocrystal surfaces using a synergistic combination of DNP-enhanced solid-state NMR and density functional theory. Ankan\u2019s scientific motivation lies at the interface of Physics and Chemistry, and the myriad possibilities of utilizing interdisciplinary approaches to understand physical systems. Outside of research, he loves to read and play badminton. He is a big fan of psychological thrillers, be it books, movies or series. She worked at the Argentinian National Laboratory of Solid State NMR (LaNAIS) led by Prof. Rodolfo Acosta. There, she proposed a pulse sequence using average Hamiltonian theory to create a filter with double quantum coherences, applying it to shale rocks from the unconventional Vaca Muerta deposit. She is currently pursuing her PhD at IRIG-MEM-CEA, supervised by Dr. Ga\u00ebl De Pa\u00ebpe and Dr. Subhradip Paul. Her research focuses on developing advanced NMR methodology to improve sensitivity through ultra-low DNP NMR. This work will enable the study of very insensitive nuclei through experiments currently inaccessible with conventional NMR. She believes a good detective novel paired with a cup of coffee can lift anyone's spirits, enjoys watching various sports, cheering for any Argentine representing her beloved country.
